- The most powerful way to answer this question is to get to know yourself. Spend some time each day just being with yourself. Turn off your cell phone and computer and just be. Go inside and ask yourself what turns you on, what brings you joy, what is that one secret passion you’ve always wanted to try but never have?
- Allow yourself to be irrational and childlike. Give yourself permission to let your mind wander without censoring and just see what comes up. Rather than telling yourself straight away you can’t do that or it’s never been done before or that’s a crazy thought – just entertain it anyway. You might be surprised where it leads you.
- Time travel back to the time before you were so focussed on responsibilities. Who were you then? What did you enjoy doing as a child? What were your favourite subjects at school? What did you like to do during recess?
- Jumpstart your imagination. As you go about your day notice the things in life that draw your attention to them. When your at work – what is that thing that makes you pause and lose focus on your work? What peeks your interest when your walking down the street?
- Work with a creativity life coach. I work with individuals in my private acting studio as well as online. You don’t have to be an actor to benefit.Click here to read about my private sessions:
